Following graduation from Babson College with an MBA in finance, Michael McNeil had been interviewing with Fortune 500 companies for a banking or finance position. A casual comment about his search to his Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Representative resulted in an introduction to a colleague who, as an attorney and director for a regional bank, suggested investigating the benefits of joining Northwestern Mutual.

Michael took the advice, hypothesizing that his business would involve insurance, investment allocation, and personal and business needs analysis. The more he learned about Northwestern Mutual, the more he became impressed by the quality of the company, the integrity of its Financial Representatives and the opportunity to build a practice. Currently in his role as a financial advisor he also contributes his time within his industry.  He is a past president of the board for the Financial Representatives Association of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He is also serving on the Corporate Giving Committee of the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation in Park Ridge, IL.

Michael McNeil has earned professional designations that include Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), the highest level of studies in the life insurance profession, and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), the most extensive education for financial solutions professionals.
